Today I'm feeling a little sad to not be with my puppy on her first birthday. I bought her a cute present today though and left money at home for steak so that should be hopefully make a little bit up for missing it.If my famaily are reading this and it is still the thirteenth, please give Miley and Sookie a thousand hugs from me (and maybe let them lick you nose in appreciatiation???)
BTW, turns out Miley was born on National Suit Up Day, so I've got my cuffs on for dinner - which we are about to head to...
Returning to Auckland felt much like returning home... which is odd seeing as we were only there for like two days. But we grabbed some lunch and did some shopping before we left and dropped into see a travel agent and book some stuff in. Spent a bit of money but we have book a full day cruise around the bay of islands, a half day dolphin swimming cruise, flights between Christchurch and Auckland and back for Halloween and some accomodation for Christchurch and Auckland. Plus we got booked in for the MouseTrap (a hostel in Paihia). Mousetrap is no Cactus Jacks!
People are okay but way not as friendly as the Cactus Jacks family and there is a no noise policy after 11 pm! I dunno - no lovely atmosphere - and I doubt we will meet people to drink teapots with - but we are in the beautiful Bay of Islands and we have some cruising ahead. We will also go to the Samoa vs. New Zealand four nations warm up game on saturday night and probably a trip to the Carpark for some partying - Paihia does not seem a party kinda town.
Anyways off to dinner but you will here all about the cruise soon. Miss you!
