I'm still Jenny from the Block -

I just arrived in Rotorua - greeted by the most beautiful rainbow ever! New Zealand gets better and better!

We are staying at this random place called Cactus Jacks! My first ever backpacker place... our bags barely fit in the room! But the place is awesome, The staff are so nice and its cute and Western themed.

So we skipped the Sky Tower and Tacky casino to go see the Warriors Under 20's presentation at Vodafone headquarters. Kind of random that we found it, and the boys were not that friendly - but I got a photo with Elijah Niko - my fave!! Felt a bit silly - coz thy are under 20's and 23 year old Katie was in awe of his hotness - Please do not judge...!

Um.... so got to Waitomo pretty late - kinda hard to get to in the pitch black  but got to Woodlyn park - the "Hobbit" hotel - larger and cleaner than I had hoped or imagined but it was cute and something different. ! (and i had my furry brown sock and brown cardi) oh and i slept in a bunk bed!!!!

Oh and anyone who tells you to go to Curly's - ignore them! Curly is a jerk and had no food and was a butthead. Even though he made good drinks! He is the only crappy part of NZ!

After Woodlyn park was the Glowworm cave. We did the blackwater rafting thing! It was amazing - the funnest thing. We had big rubber tubes (and - to my embarrassment - I got the J-LO booty sized tube!)and there was walking and caving and floating and jumping. Unfortunately I am an idiot! The tour guy said to the group, "Anyone feeling particularly fearless today?" and idiot Katie with the fearless tattoo said yes so I had to lead the group for ages... like ahead of the lead! Proably haven't learnt the mouth shut lesson!!!

Anyways so the glowworms where beautiful - they looked so amazing and magical! The rest of the cave was a bit of an adventure - Chrissy feel out of her tube, I almost did, I couldnt figure out how to move forward (so I was super considerate and went backwards, blinding poor chrissy with my cave light hat!), grabbed a guys butt numerous times while trying to not float away - (I promise I was trying for the tube ) and will have a few bruises from my inability to stay in a straight line!

Next we went to watch Rabbit Shearing - unfortunately, at 5 hours late, we missed the show! but the lovely old ladies woke up Daisy Belle for a photo (happily I remembered to wear my Rabbitohs jersey - complete accident but I do love matching.). She was so funny and fluffy! but the ladies told me how the only way the bunnies get feed is from people buying rabbit wool products..... so $65  later I left with a scarf.. and really good directions to Rotorua!!!! (and Nicole McVicar - I can hear you laughing and if i was there I would get the Dead Sea lady look) but I felt really bad for the Rabbits and the lady was good - and we did make her wake the rabbit!

So I don't think I missed any of our adventures -aside from a thrilling 5 minute stop at a bakery (the people here are soooo friendly - except for stupid Curly) and how amazing this Cactus Jack place is! - it has taken me so long to write this coz the friednly staff keep chatting to us!

oh and so not as many sheep as i though!

PS. Does anyone know if a toyota corolla has an i pod hole that we just cannot find?

Roads here are awesome and easy to drive on. Scared Chrissy when I asked which pedal was which - but I am not used to Auto. Love you all!
