Kia Ora

Ok so I paid for a CD of photo's back at Waitomo so heres us caving at Waitomo - not very good at this whole blog thing yet so that's the only one I know how to upload. Still in one piece as you can see from this three day old photo!!

Today is my last day in Rotorua and I am actually really sad to leave! The people at Cactus have been so lovely - like a little Rotorua family. Honestly they are so lovely and wonderful and last night with them is tonight. :( There's snow on the mountains at Rotorua tonight and the lovely guy next door offered us his heater and then our other neighbour left a flower at our door this morning.

We keep meeting wonderful people wherever we go... it's better than i imagined.

So today - and sorry this blog has turned into a blow by blow account - was so relaxing! We had the longest sleep in and rested up big time and then headed to breakfast at Fat Dog. It had this wonderful script on the wall about a naughty dog who peed everywhere and ate everything and it made me miss my dogs so much! I'm betting that when I get home they'll be trained to not jump up at the table and all the other naughty things I let them get away with... Anyways breakfast was so good - went the vege one so its was toast and spinach and potatoes and mushrooms. Once we were all fulled up we came back to the hotel, chatted to the guys and then headed to Hells Gate. The mud pool/spa/thermal park thing. We went for this walk through all the thermal pools - which was freezing, it had apparently snowed this morning so the air was so icy! After that we had our massages, which were amazing and then headed to the spa and mud pools - which were like 40.7 degrees and all natural and just chilled. We left so sleepy and relaxed and stinky. The sulphur like soaks into the skin and makes you smell like Rotorua!

After a couple of showers at the Hostel (found the hot water...) we went to Lone Star for dinner. We know one of the chefs there so he cooked our meals extra amazing (and the food was absolutely beautiful... need a Lone Star in Australia) It was s'pose to be a quiet night but we decided to hang round and have a few drinks with Jay after dinner and had teacup cocktails. Thanked our lucky stars that Jay was there... we assumed that you drank teacup cocktails out of the spout of the teacup but apparently not! You just poor yourself some shots from it! So two teacups and a few vodkas later ... we wound up back here to hang out with the guys at the hostel.

Tomorrow is still Whakatane, Te Puke and Auckland with a stop at Lady Jaynes for ice cream and the shops for some wine and choccies for our Cactus friends.

Hope everything in Australia is doing wonderful! Hope you are not getting to used to the quiet either coz I think the time is going to start flying and we will be home before we know it :(

Oh and as you can probably tell, my internet time is pretty limited, so I am not really reading over these posts or editing or fixing stuff - so if something doesn't make sense... sorry!
