City of Sails

G - I love Auckland!

And it turns out Auckland people love us Aussies! Hardly paid for any drinks last night (which was not so enjoyed this morning let me tell you!)

OK ill just tell the story from the beginning - and get up to when my 22 minutes runs out!

Went to Spookers last night (red skirt, bat earrings and a be very afraid t shirt - thinking I should of bought a "Don't be a big fat baby" tee instead) It was terrible! Drive down this deserted road, no street lights and get there to find out we are at Creepers - the childrens version of Spookers! So we head in and get tickets to three attractions - Thank you tourist coupons!!!!

I am ashamed to say we both still have our wristband from the haunted house and our claustrophobia ticket coz we were too scared to go in!!!!!  We started with Disturbia - some creepy tunnel thing - there were tears of fear streaming down our faces, and a ridiculous amount of screaming - and when we begged one of the scary monster people too let us out he said no and kindly pointed out that we were at the 8 year old version! That wristband will be a constant reminder ofthe embarrassment and shame of not being able to stand a childrens theme park!

The good news: Chrissy found a fellow by the name of Zombie Joe. He got in our car and as he did i almost wet my pants.

OH and imagine the ride back on that deserted dark road, hearts pounding, scared a zombie willjump out at us. And the cool hotel guy then, after mocking our early return home, tells us it used to be a mental institute where they did electric shock therapy! OMG!

So after not rocking the fearless tattoo, we put some heels on and headed to carpark (not to be confused with the carpark - a place full of cars),. Then we got free Aussie drinks, the most amazing cocktails ever, and mocked for the way we say "Here". After that we headed to minus 5, the place made of ice! We were the only one there and the bar guy was a not hot Van West, who gave us $50 bucks of free drinks (being Aussie is the greatest thing ever BTW!) oh and btw, Wil,the amazing awesome cocktail bar guy from carpark, told us NZ has no poisionous spiders anywhere but Christchurch and no snakes. Don't be surprised if i never come home!!!

OH, and if I had put travel round Auckland CBD on a golf cart at night, screaming and dancing on my bucket list, I would totally be crossing it off right now! I dunno how the golf cart thing happened but it was super fun!

oh and we are probs flying to Auckland for Halloween. Our names is at the door and we got free tickets to the amazing party ever. Pity we ahve to pay for flights and that takes away from the freeness! Oh well, Hope domestic flights are cheap!

So 11 minutes of blogging left! Um ... We went to the zoo, and OMG Auckland Zoo is beautiful! It was so open and amazing, there were flamingos, the usual zoo creatures, hippos, contruction workers and, the most amazing thing ever, KIWIS!!! like the bird! They are amazing.

Today the DJ from carpark was our tour guide. Took us to Devonport for brunch - fish and chips on the most amazing hill on the water opposite the CBD, such a beautiful view and Auckland is massive.

We are just about to do the tacky 24 casino, sky tower and then heading to Waitomo for Woodlyn Park, black water rafting and glow worm caves. And hopefully more spa and sauna coz we are slightly wrecked!

Love you, Miss You!!!
